Join workshops to strengthen Jyväskylä’s international community!
Dear International Talent,
We are inviting you to participate in an important workshop series coordinated by the City of Jyväskylä together with local partners – a unique opportunity to influence how Jyväskylä supports its international community. The goal is to make the city more attractive and supportive for global professionals.
Context:
This initiative is part of a broader collaboration to strengthen Jyväskylä’s international community and improve services for global professionals. We have already been collaborating with local companies, city representatives, and educational institutions on this topic. Now we want to include international talents in the discussion to make sure your voice helps shape the future of Jyväskylä.

The next workshops will be held:
- 19 February 2026, 09:00–12:00
- 29 April 2026, 09:00–12:00
Location: Jyväskylä (exact venue will be confirmed later)
Languages: Finnish & English. The event will be bilingual. Finnish will also be used, but you don’t need to be fluent – even basic Finnish is welcome!
Refreshments: Light snacks and coffee will be provided
We hope selected participants can join both sessions to ensure continuity and impact.
Selection process:
We aim to create a diverse and representative group of international talents for this workshop by selecting approximately 4 participants.
Participants will be selected based on:
- Motivation to contribute (your answers in the registration form)
- Different perspectives (students, employees, entrepreneurs)
- Experience living in Jyväskylä
We will confirm participation by 16 January 2026 and send you all practical details.
