EduJyväskylä organised three brunch meetings between November and January with the themes of services, technology and well-being. Each meeting was not only an inspiring start to the workday, but also a valuable forum for discussing new ideas and opportunities for collaboration.

The opening speeches of the brunches included greetings from representatives of the different educational institutions. Minna-Maaria Hiekkataipale from Jamk highlighted the importance of regional development and cooperation, while Antti Rovasalo from Gradia spoke specifically from a secondary school perspective, also stressing the importance of cooperation. Sirpa Tuomi from Jamk spoke about the objectives of cooperation and the potential of the network.

At each brunch, the common vision was clear: to develop curricula and cooperation in education. As a single theme, well-being emerged at each brunch regardless of the topic, and was seen as an important factor in EduJyväskylä’s work as a whole.

The discussions during the brunch series raised a number of ideas and thoughts that will be taken forward:

  • Clarification of the curriculum and streamlining of pathways.
  • Closer cooperation between staff in educational institutions.
  • Promoting well-being in different ways, in cooperation with institutions and sectors.

The EduJyväskylä brunch series generated new ideas and opportunities for cooperation, which will drive education and cooperation in the region forward. In the future, cooperation will deepen further and a shared vision will lead to better learning opportunities and regional development.

The next EduJyväskylä meetings will take the form of Coffee breaks at Gradia Priimus during spring 2025:

  • Well-being Fri 25 April 13.00–15.00
