EduJyväskylä opens opportunities for cross-study for students of Jamk University of Applied Sciences, University of Jyväskylä, and the Jyväskylä educational consortium Gradia, as well as high school students of Norssi. You can build your own study path by selecting the content and studies that interest you from each EduJyväskylä institution. Best of all, EduJyväskylä studies are free for you.

Who are the EduJyväskylä studies intended for?

For high school students

Try out higher education studies while still in high school! Through EduJyväskylä, you can get acquainted with the studies offered by the University of Jyväskylä and Jamk University of Applied Sciences. By taking higher education courses, you can find your own field and benefit from what you have learned, for example, in matriculation exams or aptitude tests. The studies will be credited towards your high school studies, and if you apply to Jamk or JYU, you can include the studies in your higher education degree. EduJyväskylä studies are free of charge.

The orientation studies (1-2 ECTS) are specifically designed for you. You will get to know the field and what it is like to study in higher education. You can also take courses intended for degree students at higher education institutions, which are partly or fully open to high school students. These studies deepen and broaden your expertise.

For students in vocational education

Try out higher education studies while still in vocational education! Through EduJyväskylä, you can get acquainted with the studies offered by the University of Jyväskylä and Jamk University of Applied Sciences. By taking higher education courses, you can find your own field and benefit from what you have learned, for example, in entrance exams. The studies will be credited towards your vocational studies, and if you apply to Jamk or JYU you can include the studies in your higher education degree. EduJyväskylä studies are free of charge. The orientation studies (1-2 ECTS) are specifically designed for you. You will get to know the field and what it is like to study in higher education. You can also take courses intended for degree students at higher education institutions, which are partly or fully open to vocational students. These studies deepen and broaden your expertise.

Higher Education Pathway: While studying for a vocational qualification at Gradia, you can simultaneously complete UAS studies at Jamk University of Applied Sciences. The studies are included in the vocational qualification and will shorten your study time at Jamk University of Applied Sciences if you later apply to become a student there.

For higher education students

An interesting course or study module might be found at another institution! EduJyväskylä enables cross-study for you – you can take courses from the offerings of Jamk, JYU, or Gradia. In EduJyväskylä’s study selection, you will find courses that are not available at your own institution. Make your degree more multidisciplinary and network with other students in the city! EduJyväskylä cross-study is free of charge.
