Finnish Music Campus

The Finnish Music Campus is a prime example of EduJyväskylä collaboration. It is a development community for music, dance, and applied arts formed by the Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia, Jamk University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Jyväskylä.

From hobbyist to professional studies, higher education, and even a doctorate: At the Finnish Music Campus, one can start their educational path already as a baby with music play school and basic art education. Then progress through Schildt High School of Music and Gradia’s basic degree in music to higher education studies. At Jamk University of Applied Sciences and the University of Jyväskylä, one can study to become a music pedagogue, music teacher, or cultural sector expert. The Music Campus also offers postgraduate opportunities up to doctoral training.

The Music Campus hosts a vast number of top experts in culture and arts, vocational students, and enthusiastic hobbyists. The activities of the Music Campus include over 300 events annually: concerts, gigs, dance performances, seminars, children’s events, public lectures, dissertation defenses, public events, and larger co-productions with regional art organizations. Additionally, the campus regularly features performances of top musicals and operas.
